How is this different than a genetics test?
A DNA test will look at fixed DNA from births that may eventually impact proteins and small molecules impacting health. We look at these small molecules directly to categorize risk to various conditions and make research backed recommendations to improve your pet’s daily life.
How does Everfur’s test differ from other pet hair tests?
Everfur is the first of its kind to offer a large-scale molecular test that covers over 200 unique molecules. We then build on this data using state of the art artificial intelligence to make recommendations that can impact your pet’s health and happiness. Most other fur tests look at a few minerals and elements and report the values.
Why not rely on the standard blood panels that my vet offers
Standard blood panels are great, and we recommend pet’s get them regularly. While we cover many of the same molecules in a blood panel, hair is a different sample type than blood and can tell a different story. In fact hair is more similar to an average of the daily blood values which can fluctuate throughout the day. We also run our own proprietary statistical models to determine risk scores and showcase products specifically tailored to your pet’s report to improve their wellbeing
How often should I test my pet’s fur?
