Veterinary disclaimer
Last updated: May 7, 2026
1. Educational Purpose
All information, content, features, outputs, and services provided by Strand Health Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as Everfur ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), through the Everfur Health Intelligence mobile application, the Everfur Clinical Intelligence platform, and all related websites, applications, application programming interfaces, and services (collectively, the "Services") are provided solely for educational and informational purposes.
THE SERVICES ARE EDUCATIONAL TOOLS. NOTHING PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICES CONSTITUTES VETERINARY MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT, OR PRESCRIBING. ALL CONTENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO AI-GENERATED HEALTH ASSESSMENTS, DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS LISTS, DRUG DOSING REFERENCES, INTERACTION ALERTS, IMAGE ANALYSES, AUDIO ANALYSES, CLINICAL RECOMMENDATIONS, AND EVIDENCE SUMMARIES, IS PRESENTED EXCLUSIVELY AS EDUCATIONAL REFERENCE MATERIAL.
The Services exist to help users learn about veterinary medicine, animal health, disease processes, pharmacology, and clinical reasoning. They do not direct, instruct, or advise any user to take or refrain from taking any specific action with respect to any animal.
2. No Veterinary Medical Advice
No content or output provided through the Services, whether generated by artificial intelligence, derived from published literature, or curated by the Company, shall be construed as veterinary medical advice. The term "veterinary medical advice" includes, without limitation:
- Recommending, prescribing, or directing the administration of any drug, medication, supplement, vaccine, or therapeutic agent to any animal.
- Diagnosing or confirming the diagnosis of any disease, condition, injury, or disorder in any animal.
- Recommending or directing any surgical procedure, diagnostic test, laboratory workup, or therapeutic intervention for any animal.
- Advising on the prognosis, expected course, or outcome of any disease, condition, or treatment in any animal.
- Directing any decision regarding the continuation, modification, or discontinuation of any treatment plan for any animal.
- Advising on end-of-life care, palliative care, hospice care, or euthanasia for any animal.
If any content within the Services appears to recommend a specific course of action, it is presented as general educational information reflecting published veterinary literature and clinical practice guidelines. It is not a directive to the user and must not be treated as one.
3. No Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship
Your use of the Services does not create, and shall not be construed as creating, a veterinarian-client-patient relationship ("VCPR") between you and Strand Health Inc., between you and any employee, contractor, officer, director, advisor, or agent of Strand Health Inc., or between you and any third party affiliated with Strand Health Inc..
Strand Health Inc. is not a veterinary practice, veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or veterinary medical provider. Strand Health Inc. does not employ, contract with, or supervise veterinarians for the purpose of providing clinical veterinary care, medical consultations, or professional veterinary opinions to any user of the Services or to any animal.
A valid VCPR, as defined by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and applicable state and federal law, requires, at minimum, that a licensed veterinarian has sufficient knowledge of the animal to initiate at least a general or preliminary diagnosis of the animal's medical condition, typically through an in-person or lawfully permitted telehealth examination. The Services do not satisfy any element of a VCPR.
4. Consult a Licensed Veterinarian
YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CONSULT A LICENSED VETERINARIAN REGARDING ANY QUESTIONS, CONCERNS, OR DECISIONS ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL'S HEALTH, MEDICAL CONDITIONS, MEDICATIONS, DIET, BEHAVIOR, OR CARE. DO NOT USE INFORMATION FROM THE SERVICES AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR, OR AS A REASON TO DELAY, PROFESSIONAL VETERINARY CONSULTATION.
IN THE EVENT OF A VETERINARY EMERGENCY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIFFICULTY BREATHING, SEIZURES, COLLAPSE, UNCONTROLLED HEMORRHAGE, SUSPECTED TOXIN INGESTION, GASTRIC DILATION-VOLVULUS (BLOAT), DYSTOCIA, ACUTE TRAUMA, OR ANY OTHER CONDITION REQUIRING IMMEDIATE MEDICAL INTERVENTION, CONTACT YOUR VETERINARIAN OR NEAREST EMERGENCY ANIMAL HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY. THE SERVICES ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR AND MUST NOT BE USED IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
5. AI-Generated Educational Content
The Services utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to generate educational content. This content may include, without limitation, health topic overviews, symptom discussion frameworks, differential diagnosis educational lists, drug reference information, pharmacological interaction references, imaging interpretation educational aids, and evidence-based clinical reasoning demonstrations (collectively, "AI Educational Content"). You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI Educational Content is generated by computational models trained on published veterinary literature and structured reference data. It is presented for educational enrichment and does not represent the professional opinion or clinical judgment of any veterinarian.
- AI Educational Content is inherently probabilistic and may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated information. No AI system is infallible, and no AI output should be treated as a definitive statement of medical fact.
- Confidence scores, probability rankings, likelihood indicators, and similar quantitative outputs reflect statistical patterns in training data. They are educational illustrations of how clinical reasoning models weigh evidence. They are not diagnostic certainty ratings and must not be interpreted as such.
- AI Educational Content does not account for the full clinical picture of any individual animal, including but not limited to physical examination findings, complete medical history, concurrent conditions, laboratory results, imaging studies, environmental factors, owner observations, and the innumerable variables that a licensed veterinarian integrates into clinical decision-making.
- The Company makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any AI Educational Content.
6. Drug and Pharmacology Educational Information
Drug dosing references, medication interaction databases, formulary content, pharmacokinetic parameters, contraindication alerts, and other pharmacological information provided through the Services are presented as educational reference material derived from published peer-reviewed veterinary literature, textbooks, and proprietary reference compilations. You acknowledge and agree that:
- All drug and pharmacology information is for educational reference only. It does not constitute a prescription, dispensing authorization, or recommendation to administer any medication to any animal.
- Published dosing ranges reflect general guidelines from the veterinary literature and may not be appropriate for any specific animal. Dosing for an individual patient must be determined by a licensed veterinarian who has established a valid VCPR, evaluated the patient, reviewed the complete medical history, and exercised independent clinical judgment.
- Drug information may not reflect the most recent FDA approvals, label revisions, safety communications, adverse event reports, recalls, or updates to clinical practice guidelines. Users must independently verify all drug information against current authoritative sources.
- Species-specific pharmacogenomic alerts (such as MDR1/ABCB1 mutation warnings) are educational reminders based on population-level genetic data. Individual animal genotype must be confirmed through appropriate genetic testing before clinical relevance can be determined.
- The Company assumes no responsibility for any adverse event, drug reaction, medication error, treatment failure, or harm of any kind resulting from the use of or reliance on pharmacological information provided through the Services.
7. Imaging and Sensory Analysis Educational Tools
Image-based educational tools (including skin condition references, ocular health educational aids, and radiograph interpretation demonstrations) and audio-based educational tools (including respiratory sound analysis) provided through the Services are screening-level educational aids only. You acknowledge and agree that:
- These tools provide educational assessments based on pattern recognition algorithms. They are not diagnostic instruments, medical devices, or clinical diagnostic tools.
- The educational outputs of these tools are not a substitute for physical examination, comprehensive diagnostic imaging (including but not limited to radiography, ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging), cytology, histopathology, or any other diagnostic modality performed and interpreted by a licensed veterinary professional.
- False positives, false negatives, and misclassifications can and will occur. The absence of an alert or finding does not confirm the absence of disease. The presence of an alert or finding does not confirm the presence of disease.
- These tools have inherent limitations including but not limited to image quality dependency, lighting variability, anatomical positioning, breed-specific morphological variation, and the inability to assess sub-surface or systemic pathology.
8. Educational Use by Veterinary Professionals (Everfur Clinical Intelligence)
Everfur Clinical Intelligence is an educational and clinical decision support reference platform designed for licensed veterinary professionals. Even within the professional context, all content and outputs are educational in nature. Licensed veterinary professionals using the Services acknowledge and agree that:
- The Services are educational reference and clinical decision support tools. They assist the professional's learning and clinical reasoning but do not replace, override, or diminish the professional's independent clinical judgment, training, experience, or professional obligations.
- The professional is solely and exclusively responsible for all clinical decisions made in the care of their patients, regardless of any information, educational content, or decision support output provided by the Services.
- The professional has an independent obligation to verify all educational content and decision support outputs against current clinical standards, formularies, practice guidelines, regulatory requirements, and the professional's own knowledge and training before applying any information to patient care.
- The professional's use of the Services does not alter, diminish, or satisfy any professional duty, standard of care, licensing requirement, continuing education obligation, or regulatory mandate imposed by applicable state veterinary practice acts, licensing boards, the DEA, the FDA, the AVMA, or any other regulatory or professional body.
- The Services do not establish a consultative, supervisory, referral, or collaborative professional relationship between the user and the Company. The Company does not provide veterinary consultations, second opinions, case reviews, or professional mentorship.
- Any reliance on the Services for clinical decision-making is at the professional's sole risk and discretion, and the Company shall not be liable for any clinical outcome, adverse event, malpractice claim, licensing action, or other consequence arising from such reliance.
9. Educational Use by Pet Owners (Everfur Health Intelligence)
Everfur Health Intelligence is an educational platform designed to help pet owners learn about animal health topics relevant to their pets. Pet owners using the Services acknowledge and agree that:
- The Services provide educational health information to help pet owners become more informed about their animals' health, common diseases, preventive care, nutrition, medications, and wellness topics.
- Educational content is general in nature and is not tailored to the specific medical needs of any individual animal. Every animal is unique, and educational information that is generally accurate may not be applicable or appropriate for a specific animal.
- The Services are not a substitute for regular veterinary checkups, preventive care visits, vaccination schedules, dental cleanings, or any other professional veterinary services.
- Pet owners should share any educational information obtained from the Services with their licensed veterinarian for professional interpretation, context, and clinical application.
- The Services are not designed to triage, prioritize, or assess the urgency of any health concern. Only a licensed veterinarian can determine whether a condition requires immediate, urgent, or routine care.
10. No Regulatory Approval or Endorsement
Strand Health Inc. and the Services have not been reviewed, approved, cleared, certified, endorsed, or registered by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), any state veterinary medical board, any state board of pharmacy, or any other governmental, regulatory, or professional body for use as a medical device, diagnostic tool, prescribing system, or clinical care delivery platform.
The Services are educational technology products. They are not regulated medical devices. No claim is made, expressly or by implication, that the Services have any regulatory status or approval for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical purposes.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STRAND HEALTH INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, ADVISORS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, ILLNESS, SUFFERING, DEATH, OR OTHER HARM TO ANY ANIMAL, OR ANY RESULTING EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, FINANCIAL LOSS, VETERINARY EXPENSES, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO ANY PERSON, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO:
- The use of or reliance on any educational content, AI Educational Content, drug reference information, differential diagnosis lists, imaging analysis outputs, or any other content or output provided through the Services.
- Any decision to seek, delay, decline, modify, or discontinue veterinary care based in whole or in part on information obtained through the Services.
- Any clinical decision made by any veterinary professional based in whole or in part on educational content or decision support outputs provided through the Services.
- Any error, omission, inaccuracy, or outdated information contained in any content or output provided through the Services.
- The failure of the Services to identify, flag, alert, or educate the user about any disease, condition, drug interaction, contraindication, adverse effect, or risk.
- Any interruption, suspension, discontinuation, or unavailability of the Services.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Strand Health Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, advisors, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of educational content from the Services for any purpose other than personal education; (b) your representation to any third party that educational content from the Services constitutes veterinary medical advice; (c) any clinical decision made based on information obtained through the Services; or (d) any violation of this Disclaimer.
13. Severability
If any provision of this Disclaimer is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to render it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving its original intent to the greatest extent possible.

This Disclaimer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
15. Acknowledgment
BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS VETERINARY AND EDUCATIONAL USE DISCLAIMER.
